Background Check PolicyIn compliance with Ohio Administrative Code 173-9, Hillandale Communities will be conducting criminal records check for applicants under final consideration for employment and for current employees at least once every 5 years within 30 days after the fifth anniversary date of employment. The criminal records check includes BCI&I as well as database checks that include the following:
Any current employee who has been charged or convicted of any disqualifying offense listed in Administrative Code 173-9-06 must report the offense to Human Resources at 513-326-0040 upon charge and/or conviction. Failure to do so may result in voluntary termination of employment.
Database checks are free; however, there is a $22.00 fee charged to the employee for BCI&I checks. The fee will be deducted from the employee?s paycheck at the time of the BCI&I background check.
Applicants under final consideration for employment must provide proof of Ohio residency for a five-year period immediately preceding the date the criminal background check is conducted. If the applicant is not able to provide this information, there will be an additional charge of $24 for an FBI background check to be conducted.
